Celebrate spring with the arrival of baby animals and the prepping of our fields at Old Sturbridge Village. Enjoy live musical performances on the weekends. Meet the Village’s cuddly, heritage breed newborns, including lambs, calves, goats, chicks, piglets, and more, up-close and experience first-hand the responsibilities of raising animals on a farm in 1830. Learn about 19th century agriculture practices and tools, and how they are applicable to today’s farmers. Meet Laura Ingalls Wilder, as portrayed by historian Melanie Stringer. Kids will even have a chance to try their hand at seasonal chores!
Compete in our Farm Yard Games, take a hay wagon ride around the country side, and learn more about farming and gardening. On weekends, listen to music in the Center Meetinghouse and meet guest teamsters from around New England.
