Join us for a delicious lunch and enjoy a virtual tour of downtown Peterborough from the comfort of your seat in Bass Hall! In this illustrated talk, we will look at the history of downtown from the days when it was a mill village to today’s community and retail center. We will learn about the architecture, people, and businesses that have shaped Peterborough’s town center over the years as well as the cataclysmic hurricane that changed the downtown in the early 20th century. Like our popular walking tours, this talk will have you looking at the downtown’s architecture and businesses in a new light.
The program begins at noon with a light luncheon of assorted wrap sandwiches and salad provided by Harlow’s Pub. After time for eating and socializing, we will present a lively and fast-paced talk over dessert and coffee.
