Our one-mile walking tour highlights some of the important architectural, cultural, and commercial sites between Church Green and Taunton Green. John Gallagher on the Sturtevant Murders in Halifax, MA John F. Gallagher served over thirty years on the Boston Police Department and retired at the rank of superintendent. As a command staff member, he was the department’s chief of detectives. His interest in history and genealogy and his background in criminal investigation motivated him to write about these century-old murders on the South Shore. Open house for Veterans and families from 1-4pm Special Vietnam slideshow at 2pm presented by Dennis Proulx Members of the Taunton Area Vietnam Veterans Association will share a slideshow presentation and memories of their experiences during the Vietnam War.
